Been chock a block for the last couple of weeks through a combination of work putting us through every first aid course and fire safety course that exists, starting up a new boot camp with my mate "sniper" paul and getting some miles in for a hadrians wall in 24 hours challenge. Any way enough moaning. Behold random crap

What to do, what to do

I ordered some more khurasan power armour dudes just because. But i cant decide what colour scheme to go with. Either more grey federal army, khaki ucmc (which im leaning toward and is why i rearmed them with solid projectile weapons) or something else. Any ideas?

Bsg ground force marines and next kitbashes

Finished a batch of ten bsg marines in woodland bdu's. Gave them a bit of static grass as they'll be more caprica based than ship based. Also started playing with some old manta force ships i got off ebay, last time i even saw these i was five!

Battlestar galactica marines

My first batch of cylon fodder for bsg skirmishes. I got a 24 pack of rebel mini swat and im planning on doing 12 in black fatigues and 12 in olive green fatigues. Possibly looking at getting some rebel sas ect for special weapons and some infiltrators for pilots.

Finally after a rather lively weekend I've got my hind 3000 painted up. I sculpted on new canopies and redid the weapon nose with an armoured dome and smaller weapon.

Devil dog reporting sir!

The HAMR-MA2 (or devil dog as it is affectionately known)is the only mech vehicle currently in use by the colonial marine corps. Whilst its targeting system and comms array lack some of the latest refinements found in federal army models the marines firm stance on only assigning the most experienced marine recon operators to HAMR units has ensured the mech has been punching well above its weight for over ten years. Furthermore the proposed plans to upgrade and up gun the mech in the shape of the HAMR-MA3 is believed to enable the devil dog to operate effectively for the next ten years.

Hind XJ3000

Just got a nice parcel through from rebel minis so ive modded the lander i got to be a bit of a pseudo hind thingy for my neosov troopers. Greenstuff is still drying here but you get the idea.

Gauss cannon

Against transports and lighter class fighting craft the gauss cannon is a cost effective highly successful defensive weapon, making it a common sight across the colonies.

Got this for two quid in tesco's, based the colour scheme off the gauss cannon in ogame. Might mucky it up a bit and give it some chips.

Cylons

Finished up my cylons today, dead quick paint up, boltgun metal, badab wash, highlight with mithril silver and a blue wash. Got an order o. With rebel minis for some swat to be proxy bsg marines ( and generic modern spec ops guys) and a hammr for my uscm which I'm planning on sectioning and giving an action pose. Also managed to slip an order to khurasan past the missus so more goodies coming from there

Tonights project

Got a mega fast delivery today of star wars risk proxy cylons. Also went shopping for a spanner and came back with a big gun thing for two quid.

The AAMRAV

The anti aircraft multi role assault vehicle was the answer to repeated calls by the ucmc's calls for a highly mobile well armoured anti aircraft sentry vehicle. The project was an unmitigated failure,the AAMRAV lacked the capacity for long term deployment due to poor reliability and temperamental weaponry. Furthermore the vehicles main role (anti air defence) could not be met due to poor tracking optics and poor software.

Unfortunately for the corps the weyland yutani corporation had pushed the production of over 20 thousand of the vehicles and they had to be made use of. The corps reaction was to strip down the units weapons systems to the bear bones, removing the near useless hell screamer rocket pods and in their place installing 4 em coil guns and heavy incinerator units. The track was also up armoured and the fusion drive system replaced with an older but more reliable internal combustion engine. With its new armament the AAMRAV was retasked as a hostile environment anti personnel sentry. And was rechristened the APMRAV to reflect its new anti personnel role.
Bit of a kit bash, upper body is a star wars heavy droid with a bit of plasti card. Little pound shop pullback tank for the hull and tracks from a Wall-E toy.
